Virtual Marketing Assistant

The Virtual Marketing Assistant will provide part-time support to HSI's Marketing team while working 100% remotely. You will perform various marketing-related tasks, including creating content, scheduling social media, copywriting, and basic editing. For this role, a strong Internet connection, webcam, and reliable computer are required, along with experience using communication tools like Zoom, Slack, the Google Suite. Ultimately, you must handle projects independently and deliver high-quality work by deadlines under minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Report to and meet with HSI Account Managers regularly

  • Conceptualize, create, and schedule social media content

  • Develop marketing collateral such as flyers, web graphics, newsletters, etc.

  • Assist with email marketing and managing buyer journey programs

  • Assist with data entry and managing lists

  • Update, edit, and write copy for blog posts, social media, and websites

  • Communicate regularly with HSI Account Managers and report on and log projects progressions

  • Provide customer service to clients as assigned

Skills

  • Proven experience meeting deadlines while working remotely or under minimal supervision

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Proficiency working with tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and other graphic design tools

  • Experience working with email marketing tools like MailChimp and Constant Contact

  • Proven experience working with content management systems such as WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace

  • Proficiency with current technologies such as Zoom, Slack, and the Google Suite

  • Experience working with CRMs and managing customer data

  • Familiarity with project management tools and the ability to track project hours

  • Experience working with customer journey programs and SMS marketing preferred, but not required

  • Experience producing and editing video for digital marketing purposes preferred, but not required

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Solid organizational skills

Reports to: Assigned Account Manager or Managing Partner
Compensation: $10-$20/hour DOE up to 20 hours a week with the potential for additional hours or full-time after six months. *This is a 1099 Contract Role
